Description

Name: Tyson Xavier Graywall
Gender: Male
Race: Altherian Ascended
Age: 239 (17)
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 432 lbs.

Personality:

Tyson has no set in stone way he behaves 100 percent of the time. The largest reason is due to his position as Lord of Altheria and the stresses imparted on him from being the holder of the role. It demands a serious aspect of himself, capable of immense charisma and firm leadership, so that is part of his attitude at times. When not on duty, because (thankfully) he gets off hours, he tends to be a bit more laid back and cool headed. He likes to find amusement in what he does whether it be by smarting off to the point where others grow angry or if he feels  like playing a prank or two. Its all the same to him. He is, however, a naturally caring and friendly person. He won't intentionally offend others and will be respectful, if he has gone too far. He likes to make new friends and values each and every life he comes across, except his enemies at times. If angered, his rage slowly builds, but never explodes. He doesn't let it control him, but instead let's it drive him with the conviction he needs to overcome the object of his anger. That said, he isn't one to kill. Not anymore. His time in a planet-wide war and the blood of millions on his hands, he hates the thought of killing, so he won't go for the kill unless under the most severe circumstances.

Biography:

What brought this man to his current power? What did he shoulder to become the ruler of a whole planet? The simple answer is quite a bit of grief and sorrow.

Born into a world where two races cohabited a single planet, his kind was subject to the hatred of their kin, just because of the powers his kind could wield. Altheria had long been a planet of war and that was how it was when Tyson grew up. A large proponet of this hate, and one of the causes of the Altherian Civil War, was a group of Mages called the Legacy Project. In relation to Human history, they played the part of the Nazis in Germany during WWII. Their goal? To cleanse Altheria of the Ascended.

When Tyson was young, he lost his parent to a raid by said project, only to be taken in by another of his kind: Aaron Cain. The old smith took him in and raised him, alongside the man's own child and Tyson's future friend, Vizar Fenrir Cain. The smith trained them and helped create the weapons they first wielded in their fight against the Legacy Project. It was he, who had them begin their mission.

The two friends, almost brothers, set out to find the others of their sparse kind and unite together to fight back against those who would see them eradicated and it went rather well at first, no issues arising as they sought out and recruited other Masters and Mistresses.

Kai Murasaki's situation changed things. While the recruitment started off the same, the trio of Ascended were attacked by a squad of Legacy Agents and forced to retreat and regroup. Again, nothing major, but it did deveop further. New information was brought forward about a HQ with all kinds of info that would prove a boon to the Ascended's plans. They broke in and escaped soon after, but only because Vizar stayed behind to let Kai and Tyson escape.

The WeaponMaster's capture lead to a rescue mission, which in turn lead to the liberation of Daniel Black as well, the soon to be leader of the Rogue Ascended. Daniel Black split off after the rescue mission and begun his own recruitment of Ascended and initiating his old plans.

With the sudden involvement of Ascended, Erik Mercer, leader of the Legacy Project, convinced all Mages that war was the only option to retain their safe living. Fear of being killed drove people to fight and soon war was declared, Mages against Ascended, though divided between the two factions. At one point in the war both Ascended and Rogues allied to survive, but turned on eachother near the war's end. This resulted in complete annihilation of all sentient life on the planet of Altheria, save one life.

Tyson Graywall, leader of the Ascended Army, had defeated the last Rogue, Daniel Black, but his planet was lost to him. Intense gried overwhelmed him, but a glimmer of hope shined brightly as a voice spoke to him. Versa, deity of Altheria, lead him to accrue all the Master Pieces, a medium passed along each family line of Ascended. Gathering them all, he brought them to the dais in the Central Plaza of the Ascended Isles. placing the numerous gems on the platform, Versa was able to focus enough energy in one place to empower Tyson with the position no Ascended ever reached before. The GateMaster soon became the AscendedMaster, wielder of the powers of all who came before him.

Wielding the powers of a minor creation god, he rejuvenated the planet and its inhabitants, resurrecting the good, reincarnating the bad. The people of the planet, seeing his power and how he had used it to save Altheria, named him their ruler, though he helped shaped the representative democracy it uses to the current date.

Powers: (Only covering his abilities as GateMaster)

As he is the GateMaster, he controls portals that he has dubbed "Gates" and uses them for any variety of tasks. His magic allows him to change the attributes of the Gates, such as size, shape, what can pass through, etc. He has a few basic types at the moment: Filters, dividers, dissection, and energy transfer. The filter type leads to a sub-type that allows him to filter everything but gravity, to help him either move objects, reduce the weight of an object, or add momentum to his strikes. Each type of Gate has a different cost in terms of energy, though a general rule of thumb is: The bigger or more complex it is, the more energy it takes. He is also a Wind Mage to a small degree, able to cast some low level spells with no issues. Altherian magic doesn't require incantations as it is merely an application of the energy pool within every Altherian.

He boasts rather large Fields of Influence (see entry in Ascended folder in gallery), due to his age, experience, and control. His primary field is roughly spherical, with a range of 30 meters in almost every direction. His secondary field spans multiple star systems, but he must know the location of his destination. He has an item giving him a tertiary field, a Stone Gate that resides in his home, whose range is almost considered an Infinite Field, needing only coordinates and energy to allow him travel to a specific place.

Weapons:
-WarpDaggers(Wired Set): Two enchanted daggers, made specifically for the GateMaster, a post Tyson previously held. They have diamite blades (See Diamite Below) and can both change into swords, known as GateSwords. They are connected by diamitian razor wire, instead of the old chains they used to have. This improves stealth and lethal potential for the weapons.
-Portal Gloves
A gift from Vizar (WeaponMaster) that allow him to summon his standard weapons as well as any weapon he has come across. They generate their own portals so they do not drain his power store.

Inventory:
- Standard Issue Master Pack
A bottomless back pack that holds whatever the owner has placed inside beforehand. Independently powered.
-GateMaster Cloak
Its pockets are used like the SIMP and it is made of Carbon Cloth.
-Carbon Cloth
Tyson's outfit is infused with traces of carbon (what diamonds are made of), so it cant be cut. It however, can not stop brute force. While enchanted to avoid it's weakness, fire is a sure fire way to destroy carbon cloth, though the main issue is igniting Tyson's clothing. Also, that is enchanted to avoid combustion as well.
- Filter Mask
Specialized to filter poisonous air into breathable air... it also looks kick-ass. Made of Carbon Cloth. Mostly worn due to Tyson having a scar on his left cheek.
-Diamite
A specialty metal of The Ascended. It is nigh unbreakable, but is very weak to combustion and ignition. The Ascended enchant it to avoid this weakness, but extreme cases can still ignite the metal. It is also incredibly heavy, so large amounts of the metal are ill advised. The metal is also very conductive and heat and electricity can still be felt through it, even if it's not likely to catch ablaze.

GatePiece:
A magically imbued piece of technology. It is used as a medium for the abilities of the GateMaster, but is not necessary to actually use the powers. It's technical facilities of scanning and analyzing are purely technological and can be stopped by an electromagnetic pulse.

Energy Pool:
Each Master has an available pool of energy based upon use, knowledge, and age. The older a person lives, the more available knowledge they have, and their use of the Pool all affect its size. Tyson uses his  powers often which is why his own pool is quite large. His standard portal usage allows him 2 straight hours of regular application and combat application. Other attacks and uses also drain energy, varying in amounts of energy needed as affected by the theory of Infulential Fields.

Misconceptions:
Due to some tearing apart, courtesy of :iconenderjg: and :iconrikobrando:, I have decided to add this. While, yes, with enough logic you could explain each power as science, there are some that can't be done easily. In actuality, the powers of his kind are magical in nature, only really relying upon the energy source they inherently all have. The scientific portion, as used, relates to the magic's application. Going off of general rules of science as well as using portals that filter gravity, he can disrupt some normal standards of physics in a singular area, but he isn't breaking them. The general use of portals that filter everything, sans gravity, are used to affect his weight. By allowing gravity through the portal, whatever force of acceleration he feels due to the gravity coming through, pulls against whatever force of gravitational acceleration the planet he is on provides.

For example. Earth's gravity has an acceleration of -9.81 meters per second squared. All of us are pulled down at the same acceleration, with small variations due to how close to the planet's core you are (but that's just technicalities). If Tyson allowed gravity through a portal above him, assuming it faced towards the planet, then it's gravity would be pulling against Earth's own. If the foreign gravity is 9.81+ meters per second squared, he would become weightless of even float towards the Gate. This is just an example of application.

Added:
He does not spam Gates when he fights. He just doesn't . His fighting style involves weapons that he has trained with. He normally starts with his WarpDaggers, using the wire to launch long range attacks. He is not really one for close combat unless it's necessary. He can restore energy by two ways; Meditation and Harvesting. Meditation takes more concentration and restores a lot of energy, but is time consuming. Harvesting is a sped up version and requires less time or concentration, but he can't gather nearly as fast as if he were to use meditation. Harvesting is also called 'quick meditation' due to similarities between the two.

Likes:
-Music of most any genre, but he does have some standards of what he listens to.
-Eath Culture. He has visited the planet a few times and has picked up on a few of the things he has seen.
-Romance Novels. It's not a like he discusses freely.
-His wife, Kai Murasaki.
-His best friend, Vizar Cain.

Dislikes:
-Daniel Black
-Insanity and hysteria
-Tragedy Stories
-Evil

Strengths:
Having been around for over two centuries, a majority of said time being a state of war, Tyson has a lot of experience in combat situation and strategical thinking. He had to mastermind many operations and battles against opposing armies, expecially with the fact that he was vastly outnumbered everytime. He is decently built, his unique bone structure altering his flexibility as well as his fortitude. He will use anything on the field to his advantage (within honorable means) and is quite good at baiting his opponent with witty banter from time to time. His skeletal structure also makes it hard to break his bones or dislocate his joints. (I will explain the bone structure below.) He also has the hyperadaptive genetics of Altherian Ascended, able to adapt to climate changes or elemental imbalances within a couple of minutes.

Weaknesses:
He lacks the brute strength some of his kin are known for, so he isn't great at beating down an opponent, leaving him to fight a war off attrition via wounding his opponent with sharp things that cause blood loss. For reasons unknown, his powers do not interact with those of Psychic users. Thus, he can't stop telekinesis directly. He has to use his power to affect himself to counteract said powers. Due to his hyperadaptive genetics, corrosives are especially useful against Ascended, the affected are turning to a hard stone to avoid corrosion, although the part can no longer move until corrected by the LifeMaster.

Skeletal Structure:
Unlike his kin and Humans, Tyson has a changed skeletal structure to handle the rigors of gravity since he can allow gravity through his Gates. He doesn't have ribs, but instead a segmented plate that is tightly held together by tissue and muscles that form a thin, but dense layer over the plate. Instead of joints made of softer and more compressible biological matter, he has ball-in-socket joints, making it nigh impossible to dislocate them, even under intense gravity. His bones are also dense, the molecules all densly packed, making it so the bones don't tear apart either. This results in a heavier bone structure, resulting in the need for added muscle mass, but instead of bulky muscles, his musculature is also very dense, a lot of strength packed into a small volume of space. Since most of this strength is to support the heavy skeleton, he doesn't get any bonuses in raw power.  This is why he weighs so much.

Hey, I don't mean to be a bother, but I think it'd help providing links to the important information. such as , what an Altherian is, let alone ascended. I found the information myself;but for any new comers,it'd be really helpful to have the links at hand.

I only saw that as a problem as I was looking through the information, being that I have to draw him battling Jin and all pft.

Though other than that, really neat character B )!!
